Galaxy Mania (Nintendo Switch)

Publisher: RuWaMo Games

What I Paid: $1.50

Verdict: Shovelware. Asset Flip.

What I Say:

Galaxy Mania (release date 27-July-2024) is an asset flip of Fantasy Saga Frenzy (release date 29-June-2024), so in the spirit of asset flipping, I’m just basically going to cut and paste my review of Fantasy Saga Frenzy here.

This game is a bit of a mash-up between Tetris and a 2048 game. Falling objects accumulate at the bottom of the screen. Matching objects results in the two objects disappearing and a larger object appearing in their place. This continues until you get to the largest object which disappears when you match it and the whole process starts anew (or you fill up the screen and the game ends).

Mildly entertaining, not the least of which is because of the pleasant looking physics of the objects falling onto each other and combining, but there is not a lot of replay value here.

What They Say:

Galaxy Mania! This captivating puzzle game combines the excitement of merging celestial bodies with the challenge of action puzzle gameplay. As you navigate through the cosmos, your goal is to merge matching planets, stars, and asteroids to create even more magnificent celestial formations.

Test your skills and see how far you can go in this addictive space odyssey!
