Publisher: Ocean Media
What I Paid: $3.60
Verdict: Not Shovelware. 100%ed it.
What I Say:
Big Adventure: Trip To Europe has spawned at least 5 sequels as of the time of writing this review, so clearly there is a market for hidden object games without a plot. I have previously reviewed Big Adventure: Trip To Europe 4 Collector’s Edition on this site, so was interested to go back and visit where it all began.
You are presented with a series of European location images, in which you are required to find a range of hidden objects. Nominally, they are strung together as a Europe trip but this has no bearing on the actual gameplay or outcome. The hidden object screens are interspersed periodically with mini-games, none of which are particularly challenging.
Bonus objects to find are; a racoon in each screen, several items of garbage, and items identified by silhouette.
Unlike other entries in this series, there are no bonus Collector’s Edition screens or items to find, so the game abruptly finishes when you complete the last hidden object screen.
What They Say:
You will see ancient castles, natural objects, beautiful city streets, museums and various architectural objects.
You will visit the streets of Piedmont, see the Trevi Fountain and the Castel Nuovo castle in Italy.
Visit the Meteora monasteries, the National Museum of Athens and the Acropolis in Greece.
You will visit the Algar Waterfalls and Alcantara Bridge in Spain.
During your trip, you will take a ferry across the Mediterranean Sea, fly by plane across three seas, fly in a hot air balloon to Germany, and take a comfortable train to France.
You will find many scenes with a fascinating hunt for hidden objects and interesting minigames.
