Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek (Nintendo Switch 2)

Publisher: Artifex Mundi

What I Paid: $2.25

Verdict: Not Shovelware. 100%ed it.

What I Say:

As I was playing this HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) from Artifex Mundi I got the distinct impression that it was one of their earlier efforts: many of the bells and whistles of their later releases were missing, there was a LOT of backtracking to previously utilized areas/screens and the odd areas where as yet unknown information was assumed to be known.

Nonetheless, the story unravelled was interesting enough for me to persist through the entire story and the bonus back story second adventure. The story begins with an old adventure trope: you awaken with no memory of recent events and your goal is to restore your memory and uncover the secrets of the small country town (Maple Creek) that you find yourself in.

What They Say:

Imagine waking up after a powerful storm as the sun goes down. You find yourself just outside a small town on the side of the road. A shiver runs down your spine as your body remembers the recent dramatic events that your mind cannot or will not recall…
