What I Paid: $1.39
Verdict: Not Shovelware. 100%ed it.
What I Say:
I previously reviewed Escape game R00M02 and declared it Shovelware. This title seems to be where the series began. Last time I looked there were at least 17 more titles in this series, all of which presumably are inexpensive, simple low effort affairs.
With the usually ominous Made with Unity logo at the start, Escape Game R00M (or simply R00M) didn’t get off to an auspicious start. The puzzles are somewhat obscure at times and often one puzzle won’t unlock until you solve a preceding puzzle or three. I had to brute force some of the puzzles where the clue wasn’t clear and one puzzle to do with patterns on a carpet simply didn’t make sense and I had to reveal the solution to progress.
The music is cheerful and jaunty and for $1.39 I felt I got my money’s worth with this title.
What They Say:
Move through 3D space to find hints, solve mysteries and escape from the room.
Anyone can play to the end because you can see hints and answers.
